1) How do I change the task duration from days to hours?

The current version of the Project Planning Pro (PPP) app enables you to schedule tasks in days only. In the next version, you be able to schedule tasks in hours also.

2) Can I copy the repetitive tasks?

No. You cannot copy repetitive tasks.

3) How can I create templates for different projects?

To create templates:
1.Export your final project plans to the drop box.
2.When you need a new project plan, download any of the existing project plans from the drop box and rename it.
3.Customize the task duration, resources, and other fields as per the new requirements.

You can also email your project plan and import it into the app whenever you want to work on it.

4) How do I re-arrange the columns?

To re-arrange the columns in a particular sequence:
1. De-select all the columns that the app is displaying on your screen.
You will now see only the Task ID and Task Name columns.
2. Select the columns as per your preference and the app will display them accordingly.

For example, while executing step 2, if you select the Duration column before the % Completion column, then while displaying the columns, the app displays Duration before % Completion.

5) Can I change the Gantt view to view the quarterly data instead of the monthly data?

No. The Gantt view of current version enables you to view the data only in daily, weekly, and monthly formats.

6) The Planning Pro application that I downloaded for my iPad is in French. How can I reset the app’s language to English?

Planning Pro uses the language that you set in your iPad. To change the Planning Pro language to English, change the iPad language to English by choosing this menu option:
iPad Settings > General > International >Language.

7) Why is my app displaying the Upgrade button even though I have already paid and bought it?

The App Store takes care of the In App purchase. To resolve this issue tap Upgrade and then tap Restore. The Store will not charge you twice.

8 )Why does the app display some tasks in red?

When you change the data of a task, the app displays that task in red. For example, if T1 is a task that precedes T2, then when T1 finishes, T2 starts. If you postpone T1 by a day, the start date of T2 will also advance by a day. The app marks both these tasks in red.

9) Why am I unable to import .xml plans from the drop box?

The app allows you to import .xml files that were originally .mpp files. This conversion from .mpp to .xml must be using the Save As option in MS Project. If you just rename .mpp file to .xml without converting using Save as, then this app will not import these files.

10) What is Auto scheduling?

When a task changes, Auto scheduling automatically re-schedules the set of tasks that are dependent on the changed task.
For example, if the four tasks T1, T2, T3, and T4 are such that each is completely dependent on the next task then, change in T1 would mean changes in T2, T3, and T4. If all the tasks are Manual scheduled, then when you postpone T1 by a day, then T2, T3, and T4 will not change unless you manually make the changes. If you Auto Schedule all these tasks, then when you postpone T1 by a day, the app will automatically postpone T2, T3, and T4 also by a day.

11) Which fields of the Project Planning Pro app are editable?

Task Name, Start Date, Finish Date, Duration, % Completed, Notes, Predecessors, and Resources fields are editable.
You can also change regular task to a milestone or vice versa.

12) Do I need MS Project to use this app?

No. You do not require MS Project to use this app. You can import .xml and .ppp files shared through this app from some other device. But, if you create a plan on your desktop and want to import it in Project Planning Pro, then you must create this plan in MS Project and save it as .xml file.

13) What types of plan can I import?

You can import plans that you created in MS Project in .xml format. You can also import .xml and .ppp files from other i2e Consulting apps like Gantt Lite, Gantt Pro, and Project Planning Go (This is an iPhone app). The plans created in Project Planning Pro app in same or other devices can also be imported.

14) Why does the app crash while I am using it?

We are in the process of improving the app in terms of features and quality. The app might have crashed because of some step which could not have been handled by the app. If your app crashes, please email us the crash log and the detailed steps which led to the crash. For crash log, visit – http://www.ondemandworld.com/how-to-find-crash-logs/

15) What can’t I find my files in the drop box?

The app displays files that are saved in the GanttXML folder. If you have not created this folder, then the app displays files from the root folder. If you have created the GanttXML folder, but saved your files elsewhere, the app will not display these files. To help the app perform better and you to find your files, we recommend that you create a folder named GanttXML in the drop box and save all your files in this folder.

16) What are the limitations of PPP?

Here are some limitations of the Project Planning Pro app. This app
A) Allows to schedule tasks only in days.
B) Supports up to 200 tasks per plan. If the number of tasks crosses this limit, then it affects the app performance. The app may also crash.
C) Currency used is $ and is not allowed to change.

17) How soon should I expect the response to my query?

We respond to our customers within 24 hours from Monday through Friday. On the following Monday, we will respond to the queries that you send over the weekend.

18) I need to change the work days to 6 or 7 days per week. How do you do this?

For changing the number of working days in week, you can use the calendar feature.

19) How do I use the calendar feature?

The Calendar feature enables you to create enterprise calendars and plan level calendars. You can use enterprise calendars across all the available plans in the app. You can use plan level calendars only in the plan for which you create this calendar.
